Activiteiten

De voornaamste activiteit van Bosontginning Houbrechts is het vellen en transporteren van naaldhout tot rondhout.

De boomstammen worden vervoerd naar het houtverwerkend bedrijf Norbord nv, gevestigd te Genk. Daar wordt het rondhout verwerkt tot OSB-panelen.

Ook worden er bossen in opdracht van houthandelaren en bosgroepen geëxploiteerd. Tevens wordt er loofhout, voornamelijk berken-en eikenhout, verwerkt tot brandhout.
